Where lived experience,

clinical expertise, and advocacy meet!

Meet Ari

Ariel Thorne is a licensed clinician, consultant, coach, creative communicator and fierce advocate whose work centers on equity in maternal care, prematurity, perinatal mental health, and family support.

With over a decade of experience serving children, families, and vulnerable communities, Ariel brings together clinical expertise, lived experience, and a deep commitment to systems change. As the mother of a former 23-week preemie and mental health specialist, she understands both the emotional weight of traumatic birth and the urgent need for more responsive, compassionate, and equitable care through the NICU and beyond.

Ariel has supported mothers through psychotherapy, worked with families impacted by prematurity through early intervention programs, trained leaders and professionals in schools and community centers who serve children impacted by prematurity and other challenges with neurodiversity. She continues to expand her work as a doctoral student and adjunct professor.

Through consultation, facilitation, and presentation, Ariel educates communities, equips organizations, and empowers mothers — helping move minority care from good intentions to meaningful impact.

For minority moms.

For their babies.

For the communities carrying both.
